WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT JESUS IS THE SON AND IS THE SECOND PERSON OF THE TRINITY?
The Trinity is one God in three Persons. The Bible teaches three co-existing, eternal Persons that comprise one God. Jesus is referred to as the second Person in the Trinity, because in the "Trinity system" used in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16, Jesus, the Son, is mentioned second: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them. them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
An early summary of Christian doctrine on the topics of the Trinity and the divinity and humanity of Christ, states that "we worship one God in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity"; also, we are careful to distinguish the three Souls without dividing their nature and substance. as the principle of faith says, "There is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit." But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, are all one, the glory is the same, the greatness is eternal. . . . in the Trinity there is none before or after the other; none is greater or lesser than the other, but all three souls are eternal together and equal."

And when he appeared in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross. The Son is "second" in priority in the "economic Trinity" - that is, the Trinity as God has revealed Himself to us and interacted with us as human beings.
through his obedience as a Son, Jesus purchased our salvation and is now exalted to the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 1:3
